An Augusta Weekned Team Pacesetter

Augusta was tough. I represented in the TT and Crit, and it was Ben, Chris,
and I in the RR.

TT...2.5 miles of HOT pain. The field was 55 strong, the largest TT start
list this season. I thought I rolled out a fast time, 4:54, but turns out
it was only good for about 20th.

CRIT...6 corner fast course (4-90's, with a chicane between turns 3 and 4).
It was full on NRC style. About 80 starters, 22 finished. I rode
aggressive and was in every break but the one the stuck. Five guys got up
the road about 45 minutes in. With three to go, I was set for an easy
(depending on how you look at it) top ten finish, but bad luck got the best
of me and I went sideways through the chicane on the LAST LAP! I held the
up right position, went around the last corner, started the sprint and
BAMMM! my tyre blew. I ended up wobbling through for 17th. Very
disappointing.

RR...90 miles of HOT, HOT, @#$#@&* HOT pain. The course was rolling all day
long. 80 starters, about 15 finishers. Ben, Chris, and I all did our part
to put on a god show, but the heat ended up getting the best of all of us.
We are all still trying to recover from our efforts. Can you say
dehydrated?

All and all it was another good weekend of racing.
